Sally B. Maupin

RICHMOND, Ind. – Sally B. Maupin, age 82, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Arbor Trace Family-first Senior Living.

Born January 24, 1943, in Burksville, Kentucky, to Delbert and Willie Sheckles Wright, Sally lived in Richmond most of her life. She retired from Cox's Supermarket in February 1999, after over 20 years of service. Sally loved spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed shopping, gardening, dining out, traveling, and playing on her computer. Her favorite singer was Elvis, and she had great memories of seeing him in concert with her girlfriends. Sally was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Lawrence "Junior" Maupin, to whom she was married on February 17, 1962; daughters, Michelle "Chelly" Maupin-Ravencraft, Teresa "T" (Kenny) Maupin-Mogle, and Karen "Nikki" (Darin McFarland) Maupin-Roser; grandchildren, Ashley Ravencraft, Emily Lewis, Meghan Roser, and Brooke McFarland; great-grandchildren, Joshua Pierce, Jocelynn Brown, and Jalise Brown; sister, Clara Wright-Honaker; brother, Jackie Wright; nieces; nephews; cousins; many friends, including best friend, Martha Jones; and very special great-nephew, Cody Dicken of Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Harold Brown, Floyd Wright, Marvin Wright, Bobbie Wright, John Wright, Eulene Wright, Olene Patton, Luetta Price, Lela Garner, and Mary "Effie" Dicken.

Visitation for Sally B. Maupin will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2025, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Lance and brother-in-law, Robert Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, located on Carlos Road at Webster Road, Greens Fork, Indiana.

Sally's family would like to thank Arbor Trace for the excellent care she received and also Reid Hospice for their care during her last days.
