Darin L. Hinderer

Darin L. Hinderer, age 56, of North Canton, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was born in Canton on November 2, 1967, the son of James and Polly (Linhart) Hinderer. Darin was a 1986 graduate of Hoover High School in North Canton. He received his Associate's Degree from Stark State College and later received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Kent State University. He had been employed with Babcock and Wilcox/BWX Technology for 30 years before retiring. Darin was the President of the Lion's Club, and Adult Leader with the Boy Scouts. He was an active member of the Faith United Methodist Church, being involved with their Mission trips and playing the trombone in their Brass Band. Darin was a very giving man who would help anyone in need. He was a volunteer for many different organizations. He was very active and enjoyed the outdoors including camping, boating, kayaking, RV traveling, mowing his yard along with biking with his dog Henry. He most enjoyed spending time with his children and granddaughter.
Survivors include his parents, James and Polly Hinderer; his children, Ashley (Kody) Richardson, Nathan (Anna) Hinderer, and Brandon (Larissa) Hinderer; granddaughter, Abigail Hinderer; sister, Cheryl (Peter) Rackov; nephew, P.J. Rackov; and nieces, Rachel and Hannah Rackov. Darin was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brittany.
Funeral services will be held at the Faith United Methodist Church on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Thom Kalb officiating. Burial will follow at the North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Reed Funeral Home (NORTH CANTON CHAPEL) from 3:00 PM to 6 :00 PM and one hour prior to the service at the church.
