Darin McCurley, 64, of
Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed away on December 7. He was born October 24, 1961, in Greenville, and was the son of the late Charles and Peggy McCurley.
Darin is survived by his beloved life partner, Susan Reeves McCurley, who shared many cherished years by his side. He is also survived by his siblings Susan Mahaffey (Frederick), Lisa Welsh, and David McCurley.
He is further survived by many others who will deeply miss him, including his work family, his sister and brother-in-law, his nieces and nephews, and his mother-in-law, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Darin built a long and respected career in the transportation and logistics industry. He was the president and founder of Crown Trailer Services, established in June 2023. Throughout his career, he was known for his leadership, technical expertise and unwavering dedication to the teams he guided.
Outside of work, Darin embraced the things that brought him joy. He was a devoted Clemson fan, a sharp thinker who never missed an episode of Jeopardy!, and an avid golfer who found peace on the course. He had a soft spot for animals and a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures-especially a spoonful of creamy Peter Pan peanut butter, a small joy that never failed to make him smile. His intelligence, humor and steady kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 15, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.
Darin will be remembered for the life he built, the people he loved and the compassion he shared so freely.
