Darin Jay Snider

Darin Jay Snider, age 54, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Born in Jackson, MI on September 29, 1970, Darin was the embodiment of kindness and passion, a devoted husband, father, and friend.
Darin was a proud graduate of Napoleon High School, where he not only excelled academically but also shone brightly as a star athlete, playing football, running track, and putting his heart into basketball. He continued his education at Western Michigan University, earning a bachelor's degree in 1992, before beginning his career at Magna Engineered Glass. Darin worked as an advanced product development and design manager. He acquired 54 patents during his 30-year career at Magna.
Above all, Darin cherished his family. His wife, Theresa, was the light of his life, and he made sure she felt like the luckiest woman in the world. He adored his sons, Gavin and Blake, and reveled in every moment spent with them, coaching them in sports and sharing his passions. His joyful spirit and unwavering support earned him the affectionate nickname "Coach Snider" within the community, where he became a mentor to many young athletes, combining his love for sports with invaluable time spent with his children.
Outside of family and work, Darin was a true enthusiast. Whether he was restoring classic cars and motorcycles or taking a ride on one of his beloved bikes, he approached every project with unbridled enthusiasm. Recently, he had taken up learning the drums, infusing his life with even more joy and creativity.
Darin is survived by his wife, Theresa Snider; his sons, Gavin and Blake Snider; his mother, Linda Snider; and best friend Troy Tooker. He was preceded in death by his father, Jay Snider and brother Steven (Todd) Snider.
Funeral services are at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Harderwyk Ministries 1627 West Lakewood Blvd. Holland, MI 49424. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th Street, Holland, MI 49423.
