Sue Snider, 84, of Lubbock and formerly of Amarillo and Pampa, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 in Lubbock.

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 12, 2026 in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Norman Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Sue was born July 15, 1941 in Pampa to Floyd and Dorothy Cockrell. She was in the class of 1959 at Pampa High School. On August 31, 1958, she married the love of her life, Charlie Snider. They celebrated over 63 years of marriage before he passed away on March 6, 2022. Together they started Charlie’s Furniture in 1969 and later moved the business to Amarillo in 1989. They ran the business for over 50 years. They worked hard to make the business successful. She was very talented in interior design, which was an asset to the business.

Sue loved Charlie, and they enjoyed traveling all over. They loved going to Vegas and taking big trips. Sue was full of life and loved big. Her family was so important to her. She was known as “Mammy” and “Grandma Sue” to her grandchildren, and she took that role serious. Sue was always the life of the party, her fun personality kept life interesting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Bradley Snider; and brother, Gary Cockrell.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzette Massick and husband James of Lubbock; son, Rod Snider and wife Lynn of Groesbeck; sister, Becky Currie and husband Neil of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Lexie Currie and husband Clayton, Megan Dorris, Koury Snider and wife April, Charis Snider and husband Juan Lopez, and Kaiden Snider; and 6 great grandchildren.

Memorial can be made to a charity of choice.
