Darius Rashawn Grant (known as Jersey in S.C.) departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 9, 2025. He was born on June 15, 1994, in North Bergen, New Jersey to Tyra Grant-Bailey and Hector Cintron.

In his early years, Darius was educated in the Jersey City, NJ Public School System. As a preteen, he relocated to Virginia, where he spent the remaining years in the Portsmouth Public School System.

Professionally, Darius held many positions over the years. However, one of his favorite jobs was as a roofer.

Darius loved his family, especially his mother and grandmother. He was like a sour patch kid. One minute, he gave them grey hair, but then he would flash that million-dollar smile to make everything better. Some of his favorite pastimes included dancing, video chatting with his mother, and playing with his furry four-legged "little sister" Gigi.

Darius was preceded in death by his father, Hector Cintron, his grandfather, Ronald Grant, and his grandmother, Dominga Gonzales.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Tyra Grant-Bailey (Kenny); one sister, Ladaina Grant; two brothers, Matthew (Sabrina) and Darrell Cintron; grandmother, Margaret Grant; three aunts, Latoya Archie, Theresa Woods (Richard) and Norma Roman; one uncle, Elind Roman; four nieces, Gabriella and Bella Grant, Emersyn Kinsey Cintron and Layla Chirstine Cintron; three nephews, Carmello Grant, Bryson Finney-Grant and Malikai Cintron; the love of his life, Alane "Priss" Thomas and a host of other relatives and friends.
