Darla Bowman Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Darla Lynn Gauthier Bowman, who left us on June 2, 2024. Born in Thibodeaux, LA, Darla spent her life bringing joy and kindness to everyone she met.
Darla is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, William Ray Bowman, Sr., her devoted mother Agnes Gauthier, her loving son Jared Strickland and his wife Erica Murret Strickland, and her cherished grandchildren Carson and Brynn. She is also survived by her five brothers, Buddy (Calvin Jr.) married to Stephanie, Mark married to Kerry, Brian married to Mia, Corey married to Jessica, and Matthew married to Daisy. Darla was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Gauthier.
Darla enjoyed her career at Lee Michael’s Fine Jewelry, where she retired with a legacy of excellence and commitment. Her colleagues and customers will remember her for her warm personality and exceptional service.
One of Darla's greatest joys was spending time at the beach in Destin, FL, where she found peace and happiness by the ocean. Her love for the beach was only surpassed by her deep faith. Darla was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 40 years, a testament to her unwavering faith and dedication to her spiritual beliefs.
A memorial service to celebrate Darla’s life will be held at Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Thibodaux, LA, on June 22, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to join us in remembering the beautiful life she lived and the many ways she touched our hearts.
Darla’s warmth, kindness, and faith will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
