Darla Jean Cantrell, 64, of Anderson, passed away on February 5, 2024. She was born on June 28, 1959, in Anderson, the daughter of Odis and Veachel (Ledbetter) Cantrell.
Darla graduated from Madison Heights High School and earned her bachelor's degree. She worked at Continuum Global Solutions.
She knew no strangers. Darla loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her dachshunds. She liked to sing with her father. Darla truly had a heart of gold.
Darla is survived by her children, Sharla Akin, Jessica Niccum (Melvin), Heather Young, and Kyle Allmond (Rachael); her step-daughter, Laurel Reynolds; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her parents, Odis and Veachel Cantrell; and her three siblings.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 2:30 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, with visitation from 12:30-2:30 P.M.
Burial will be in Pleasant Walk Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protection League.
