Darla Cotrill Obituary
She is survived by her children, Ryan (Stephanie) Cottrill and Ronda Montanez; grandchildren, Alex, Nico, Sydney, Gio and Addison.
Darla graduated from Eastmoor High School, class of 1971 and went to work her way up to a statistician where she retired from the State of Ohio Library. After retirement she spent many years running and operating Darla's Cookies in North Carolina. She spent her last few years in Wilmington, North Carolina.
In her early years, she enjoyed jeep racing and riding her Harley Davidson. She was full of adventure and never met a stranger. She was always a glass half full person and made the best of any situation.
Any donations in her memory can be made to the Ronald McDonald House. Family to hold a celebration of life at a later time.

Darla's vendor community is heart broken to learn of her death, just yesterday. As an event coordinator for one of her first shows I still remember the day she showed up on the top lawn...by the end of the meeting we were already hugging! During events if I wanted to duck away for a break from all the chaos I would go and sit with Darla in her booth and we would laugh...she had a wonderful laugh...I just hope her family knows how much she was loved here and how many people's lives she touched...Wilmington bids you a fond farewell sweet friend and we'll catch you on the other side.....

I am so sad to hear this news. Darla was larger than Life and she loved people. I worked with her for a number of years at the State library.
I will be saying many prayers for the family as it goes through this difficult time
