Born on November 6, 1975, in Mamou, Louisiana, Darla embodied a spirit that could lift the hearts of everyone around her. Her infectious smile had the remarkable ability to bring happiness to even the darkest days, and her loving nature touched the lives of many.
Darla is survived by her devoted father, David Manuel, and her loving sister, Jada Dyer Theriot. Together, they carry on her memory with deep affection and profound gratitude for all the moments they shared. Their bond, strengthened by love and understanding, will continue to flourish as they honor the beautiful soul of their beloved Darla.
She was preceded in death by her cherished mother, Jennifer Russell, whose love laid the foundation for the strong woman Darla became. The bond between mother and daughter was one of pure devotion, and now, the two are united once more in peace.
The memories of Darla's laughter and kindness will resonate through the hearts of her family and friends as they remember her gentle spirit and the love that she so freely shared. A visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, leading into a celebration of her life during the funeral service starting at 10:00 AM.
Though she may no longer walk among us, Darla Manuel's legacy of love will continue to shine brightly, reminding us all to cherish the moments we have and to always strive to bring a smile to those we encounter. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
