Funeral services for Mr. Terry Wayne Deville will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Grays Temple COGIC, Oberlin, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Kinder, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Deville, 66, of Oberlin, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Lake Charles, LA.
Terry Wayne Deville was born on October 24, 1959, in Mamou, Louisiana, to the late Philogene Deville and Mable Fontenot. Terry "T-Mel" enjoyed his life as a child growing up with his siblings and was very close to all of them. Terry was a hard worker, acquiring employment at Dugas Grocery, The Kinder Tree Nursery, Allen Parish Police Jury, and The Town of Oberlin. He loved to do anything outdoors, especially cooking outside with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Philogene Deville and Mable Fontenot; his siblings, Joseph "J.L." Deville, Richard "Red" Deville, Roland "Coop" Deville, Pearlia Deville Jackson, Allen Deville, Ophelia Frank, Paul Simon, Theresa Willis, Lovancy Simon, Sr., Semein Simon, Jr., and Marvin Ceaser; one nephew, Dontae Green; one great nephew, Mason Jack; and his godson, Brian Cole.
In memory of his wonderful life and a heart so deeply loved, he leaves to cherish his memory his beautiful blended family and siblings, George Deville of Houston, Texas, Belinda Berry (Wayne) of Oberlin, Gustave Simon, Sr. of Houston, Texas, Hamp Joseph Ceaser (Cleo) of Houston, Texas, Calvin Ceaser (Vickie) of Dayton, Texas, Eva Ceaser of Kinder, Loritha LaRose of Houston, Texas, Mary Porter (James) of Houston, Texas, and Juanita Ceaser of Cypress, Texas; one godson, Sedarion Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
