Gracie Johnson

Funeral services for Mrs. Gracie King Johnson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Church of Christ, Turkey Creek, with Brother Jacob Roberts and Reverend Ervin Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in McCormick Cemetery, Turkey Creek, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mrs. Johnson, 88, of Turkey Creek, entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing and eating crawfish. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and caring for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Everette Johnson, Sr.; her parents, Authur and Hattie King; six brothers, Burl King, Clarence King, Chester King, Wesley King, Roy King, and McArthur King; and one sister, Gladys Blevins.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her three sons, Jessie Eual Johnson of Turkey Creek, Curtis Everette Johnson, Jr. of Turkey Creek, and Samuel Ray Johnson of Ville Platte; two grandsons, Jeremy Ray Johnson and Justin Allen Johnson (Katie); two granddaughters, Misty June LeJeune (Ryan) and Jenna Hope Johnson; and eight great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held at Church of Christ, Turkey Creek, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
