It is with great sorrow that the family of Nancy L. Collins announces her passing on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the age of 85. Nancy was born in Chicago, IL on Sunday, June 30, 1940 to John and Edna Bailey Ross and was a resident of Duralde.
Nancy was an insurance specialist and spent her entire career working for USAF hospital. She was a hard worker who excelled at her job and received many promotions. Nancy’s greatest passion was that of caring for her family. She provided a loving home and ensured that her husband and children were well taken care of and had all they needed. Nancy was the cornerstone of her family and her presence will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son, Rick Collins (Virginia) and her eight grandchildren, Tamara Garrett, Jessica Sorto (Robert), Nicholas Hernandez, Noah Hernandez, Emma Collins, Nathan Collins, Lucus Collins, and Brendon Burkhalter (Savannah). Also left behind to cherish her memory are her five great grandchildren, Andrew Garrett (Ananiyah), Trevan Garrett, Eathen Garrett, Aiden Sorto, and Luna Burkhalter; one great great grandson, Aiden Garrett; and brother, Ronny Doam.
Nancy now joins in heaven her husband, John Collins; parents, John and Edna Bailey Ross; and daughters, Brenda Sollars and Vicki Collins.
As we remember Nancy L. Collins, we remember her beautiful life and the special mark she has left on the hearts of all who knew her.
