DARLENE COLPITTS Obituary
Dolly was born on Monday, July 18, 1932, in Iowa. Dolly spent many years in Washington State before making Wyoming her forever home. Though she loved the warmth of Yuma, Arizona, during the colder months, Wyoming always held her heart. She was known for her hardworking spirit, love of travel, a touch of gambling, and most of all, her deep devotion to family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ellis McNew and Thelma Paustian; son, Claude A. "Bud" Smith; three brothers, Robert Loftice, Bob, and George Frisbee; and both of her husbands, Claude A. "Red" Smith and Lenard Colpitts.
Dolly is survived by her children: Phillip (Renee) Smith, Steve (Terri) Smith, and Lorette (Richard) Redding; one sister, Bonnie Frisbee; two brothers, Ricky (Cindy) Loftice and Keith (Margo) Accorn; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren, with two on the way.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her vibrant spirit and cherished memories will live on in all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Rock Springs, Wyoming at the American Legion at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 25, 2025.
