Darlene A. Crouse

Darlene A. Crouse, 75, of Stroudsburg, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday afternoon, November 12, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital - Monroe Campus. She was the wife of Dale R. Crouse with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.

Born on July 25, 1950 in Bethlehem she was a daughter of the late John and Sophia (Novak) Wrecsics. She was a graduate of Freedom High School and has lived in Monroe County since 1972.

In earlier years she worked at Mountain Manor and for Dorothy Butz, CPA; and then later was bookkeeper at Mikels Motors and Abeloff's for many years until retiring.

Darlene was a member of the Polish National Catholic Church in Bethlehem and along with her family also attended East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, surviving are a daughter, Kimberly Mylan and husband Tim of Stroudsburg; a grandchild, Sophia Mylan; five siblings, Ranee Anthony and husband Fran of Hellertown, John Wrecsics and wife Cindy of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sonja Gonzalez of Bethlehem, Roxanne Kennedy and husband Lee of West Virginia, and Jamie Wrecsics of Indiana; a sister-in-law, Beverly Smeltz of Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Darlene's life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22nd, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg where visitation will begin at 1:00PM and be followed by a funeral service at 2:00PM with Pastor Margie Good officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to an animal rescue of one's choice.
