Darlene Antoria Hicks, Age 64, passed away Saturday January 18, 2025. Darlene was born August 30, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio to Betty Robinson and Nubert Vanarsdale. Darlene was a student of Columbus City schools where she attended South High school.
Darlene aka "Lefty" aka "EVERYONES FAVORITE AUNTY" was such a beautiful and selfless soul. She would give the shirt off of her back to anyone and she wouldn't think twice about what she could gain from her giving. Darlene was someone that everyone could lean on in their time of need, she always knew what to say and her "Umm Mm" & "Right Right" said a lot. One of her favorite lines were "My thing is this." She loved a good Karate movie and crochet art; she had a passion for drawing. But more than anything she loved spending time with family and friends and to know her was to love her.
On June 23, 2001 Darlene married the love of her life Charles Hicks and together the two shared 38 beautiful years of life and love. In those years they raised 5 beautiful children, memories of love and laughter will be kept in the hearts of those that loved her sweet and beautiful soul.
Darlene is preceded in death by her daughter Lanithyia Miller her brother Timothy Miller, her grandmother Leila Miller and nephew VonMason Walker
She leaves to cherish her memories: Husband Charles Hicks of 38 years
