Darlene Katherine (Nelson) Johnson, 85, entered eternal rest on February 19, 2026.
Born on March 28, 1940, in South St. Paul, MN, she married Robert A. “Bob” Johnson in 1960 and built a life centered on faith and family raising their children: Debbie (Jim) McGill, Daryl (deceased), Dave (Chris), and Dana (Jay) Kurtis. Darlene was a proud grandmother to: Maggie, Mikey, Riley, Emma, and Easton, who brought her immense joy. Darlene is survived by her brother Ron, and many relatives and friends.
Darlene cherished her final year of life at New Perspectives in White Bear Lake, with an active social life. She also enjoyed dancing with the stars, lunch dates, shopping trips, going to church and the sunny color yellow.
A memorial service will be on March 9, 2026 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi, with visitation at 9:30 a.m., service at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch. All who knew and loved Darlene are welcome to celebrate her life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
