Darlene E. Kohlmeyer

August 19, 1933 - February 12, 2025

Darlene E. Kohlmeyer, 91 passed away on February 12, 2025, at Valley Hi Nursing Home in Woodstock, Illinois. She was a former resident of Harvard, Illinois.

Darlene was born in Spring Valley, Minnesota on August 19, 1933, to Arthur C. and Eda M. (Rutz) Hemshrot. After Eda's passing, Alma E. Reidel (Witte) became Arthur's wife and a stepmom to Darlene and her siblings.

Darlene married William (Bill) E. Kohlmeyer on November 2, 1951, in Loganville, Wisconsin. Bill's job took them to many locations throughout the west. They enjoyed seeing the country and meeting new friends.

She is survived by her two children, June D. Harris, formerly of Inverness, IL and Robert W. Kohlmeyer of Marengo, IL and his wife, Kim A. Kohlmeyer (Bronowski); three grandchildren, Jennifer (Nick) Wilhelm of Elgin, IL, Melissa Harris also formally from Inverness and Ashley L. Kohlmeyer (Roark)(Sean) of Lexington, Kentucky. June's husband, Dustin E. Harris and Darlene's brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Memorial Gathering will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1120 Draper St., Baraboo, WI 53913. The burial will be private at a later date.
