Darlene Ann Labry, 82, of Kingsville passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, October 16, 2023.
She was born March 13, 1941, in Ashtabula, Ohio the daughter of the late Walter and Shirley (Gochneaur) Moore. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Edgewood High School Class of 1958. She married the love of her life Thomas Labry on November 10, 1960.
Mrs. Labry worked at Molded Fiberglass for 23 years before her retirement in 2000. She was a member of the Gageville United Methodist Church, Quilting Club and the Eastern Star Chapter 12. Darlene enjoyed sewing and quilting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and attending their sporting events.
She is survived by her son, Jim (Traci) Labry of Painesville; siblings, Robert Moore, Walter Moore and Sheila Kaseman; and grandsons who called her "Emmie", Jimmy and Logan.
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in 2009; son, Thomas; and her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 12PM at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula with Rev. Terry Simpson officiating. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM.
Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl 17., Chicago, IL 60601
