Darlene L. McAfoos, 77 of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at her home. She was born March 11, 1948 in Josephine, PA, the daughter of the late Alex Olechoveski and Dorothy (Wissinger) Olechoveski. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church. In addition to being a mother, Darlene had worked at Torrance State Hospital and Robertshaw.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David D. McAfoos, Sr., Blairsville, PA; son, David McAfoos, Jr., Blairsville, PA; son, Tige A. McAfoos & Heather, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Julie S. Swanson, Blairsville, PA; grandchildren: Aurora Swanson & Brandon, California, PA, Alex McAfoos, Blairsville, PA and Mattie McAfoos, Erie, PA; siblings: Alexis A. Gaiser, Blairsville, PA, Christine M. Yanci & husband, Joseph, VA and Michael Olechoveski & wife, Joanne, NC, sister in law, Jean Olechoveski, Blairsville, PA and also many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joseph Olechoveski.

In keeping with Darlene's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
