Darlene Joan Reinartz, age 91, of Minnetonka, Minnesota, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 13, 2025. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose life was centered on faith, family, and service to others. Darlene was born on September 5, 1934, in Revillo, South Dakota. She grew up in Pierre, SD, where she graduated from high school in 1952. Shortly after, she married Cecil Kirsch, and together they welcomed two sons, Donald and Randy. Cecil passed away in 1956, leaving Darlene to faithfully care for their young family. In 1958, Darlene met Al Reinartz in Huron, SD. They married on July 2, 1964, in Madison, MN, and soon after moved to Granite Falls, MN, where they built a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to their community. Active in her church and community, Darlene served as secretary of the church council and the ladies' guild, and as president of the hospital manor association, giving countless volunteer hours to nursing home residents. She also worked in a local variety store and later as a bookkeeper for Ben Franklin, always willing to lend a hand when needed. Her generosity of spirit did not go unnoticed-she was honored by the Chamber of Commerce as "Woman of the Year" for her tireless service. Family was always at the heart of Darlene's life. She is survived by her beloved husband, Al; her sons, Donald Kirsch of Sacramento, CA, and Randy (Gayle) Kirsch of Bloomington, MN; her grandchildren, Ashley Kirsch and Adam Kirsch; and six great-grandchildren, who were her joy and delight. In their later years, Darlene and Al found a welcoming home at Presbyterian Homes Beacon Hill in Minnetonka, where they were blessed with care, community, and many friendships. Her faith, kindness, and selfless love will be remembered by all who knew her. Services to be held Saturday, September 20th at 11am at Washburn-McReavy Strobeck-Johnson Chapel, 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN 55343 with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. www.Washburn-McReavy.com Strobeck-Johnson 952-938-9020
