Geneva Darlene Thomas was born September 5, 1936 in Colome, South Dakota to Meredith and Edna Lampitt Stone. Most of her childhood was spent growing up in Milboro, South Dakota. That is where she met and married the love of her life, Donald Thomas. They were married on September 4, 1954 and were blessed with three children, Janet, Deborah, and Donald Jr.
Darlene loved to sing and as a youth won many awards! It was a delight to sit beside her and hear her sing! Darlene also loved cooking and making crafts! She was always busy making various crafts for her children and grandchildren, as well as her friends! Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she enjoyed making all kinds of Christmas candies and giving them out to her friends and family!
She was a very kind, giving, and loving, person, always putting others ahead of herself! She had the gift of hospitality, always making people feel at home.

Grandchildren: Justin (Rachel Bailey) Cady, Kristi Monroe, Michael (Faith) Thomas, Trent (Amanda) Cady, Angela (Tracy) Hock, Nicole (Frank Gomez) Thomas, Alicia (Shane) Gosnell, & Lyndsay (Huerta Flako) Huerta.
