Darline (Donofrio) Mauger, passed away peacefully September 13 at Manatawny Manor. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence L. Mauger, Jr. for 73 years. Along with her husband, Darline is survived by her devoted children, Lawrence J. Mauger, husband of Cynthia (Carroll) Mauger, and Darleen (Mauger) Farnsworth, along with six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Born in 1931, Darline was the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Marks) Donofrio. The fifth child of seven in a very closely knit family; her siblings, Joseph, Kay, Virginia, George, Herbert and Shirley were a vital part of her life, and they remained close throughout adulthood. Each of her siblings have predeceased her.

Darline loved her family fiercely. Some of her favorite people were her grandchildren: Angela Almond, Joshua Hayer, Jordan Mauger, James Farnsworth, Caitlin Cole and Cody Farnsworth. She also loved her 10 great grandchildren, all of whom have wonderful memories of their time spent at Mom-Mom's house.

Darline was a thoughtful, loving and self-sacrificing wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to go to Mass on Sundays and enjoyed being part of the St. Aloysius Church community. In addition to raising her children, Darline worked at her sister Kay's dress shop, Sunset Knitting Company, the New York Store and Boyertown Junior High East cafeteria.

Darline also loved to cook and craft. Her grandchildren lovingly remember the wonderful meals she used to prepare for them. In her spare time, she crocheted and painted and enjoyed many kinds of crafts.

Her family will miss her gentle, loving personality and quick wit. Her life has been a blessing to all privileged to know her.
