Obituary Warren James Mauger
Warren James Mauger, 80, formerly of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at his home in Wendell, Idaho.
Warren was born February 18, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri. He lived in St. Louis until the age of 8 when his father died. He came west with his mother, first to Montana then on to Idaho. He attended schools in Fremont county, graduating from North Fremont High School. He served in the US Army from 1968-1970 in Vietnam.
He married Vicki Gentillon on February 9, 1967 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Vicki passed away November 28, 2008. He married LaRue Hong June 4, 2010; they later divorced.
Warren was a dairyman and a farmer, and was also a truck driver.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in New Zealand. He served in many callings including in the Bishopric.
Warren enjoyed fishing and hunting, but what he enjoyed most was thrift-shopping. His family is feeling badly because Deseret Industries sales will be cut in half with Warren's passing.
Warren is survived by his children, Todd (Kimra) Mauger of Chubbuck ID, Marcie (Kip) Capson of Blackfoot, Danny (Brooke) Mauger of Wendell, Suzette (Jason) Chatterton of Blackfoot, Ladd (Valeigha) Mauger of Blackfoot and Wes (Alyssa) Mauger of Eagle Mountain UT; siblings Sandy Jacobson of Alpine UT, Gary (Christine) Mauger of North Carolina and Patty (Gary) Fletcher of Woodinville UT; 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Jane Martin Mauger; his wife, Vicki Mauger; and a brother-in-law, Larry Jacobson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
