Darnell "Donnie" Dawson, Jr.

Darnell "Donnie" Dawson, Jr. was born October 26, 1974, in Indianapolis Indiana, he was called home to be with the LORD on Saturday June 3, 2023. He was the first of three children born to Scherry A. Dawson and Darnell Dawson Sr.
Darnell was a gifted and very intelligent student, artist, and musician, who enjoyed learning. Darnell also held first chair as a trumpet player in the Southport high school band.
Darnell received many certificates, awards, and trophies throughout elementary school and high school years.
Darnell was employed by Rolls Royce and Mitchel and Scott as a machine operator for several years.
Darnell was well loved by people everywhere he went. Darnell was sure to put a smile on everyone's face, crack some jokes and make the whole room laugh.
Darnell enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and watching movies specifically about UFOs.
Darnell loved the outdoors with a high respect for nature. Darnell was a great bass fisherman and was always willing to teach others how to become an angler.
Darnell leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Aysia R. Dawson and Nikiyah Troutman, two granddaughters, Alayah N. Thompson, Diauni L. Thompson, one grandson, Dilaun D. Thomson; parents, Darnell Dawson Sr. and Scherry A. Dawson; brothers, Dameon A. Dawson and Derrick B. Dawson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
