Darrel Wade Sautner was born September 17, 1953 in Bismarck, ND to Harlin (Rip) and Marlys Sautner. He was the second child of 13. He received his elementary education at Saint Cecelia school and Harvey High School, both in Harvey, ND. Following his education, he joined the US Army as a Radio Relay & Carrier Attendant that planted the seed for his love of electronics.
After leaving the military service Darrel spent his adulthood doing what he did best; "tinkering". He enjoyed odd jobs, especially repair jobs. When Darrel went to live in the Veterans Home in Lisbon, ND he was able to develop his passion, electronics. He spent his time servicing PC, laptops, and smart phones in the Veteran's Home. He especially liked to teach his senior veterans to join this new viral world.
Darrel will be forever remembered and loved by his brothers Doug (Rhoda) Sautner, Bismarck, ND, Thomas Sautner (Sara Nesbit) Mooreton, ND, James (JimBob) Sautner, Forman, ND as well as his sisters Diane (Ricky) Degenstein, Gwinner, ND, Julie (Roger) Rademacher, Harvey, ND, Ann (Kurt) Tracy, Minot, ND, and Sandra (Sandy) (Paul) Brewer, Oakes, ND and his many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Debra, and brothers Dennis, Patrick (Pat), Donald, and Father Scott.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 11:00 at St Aloysius Catholic Church in Lisbon, ND. Darrel's service will be live streamed on our website on his obituary page. Interment with military honors is scheduled at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
