Darrell F. Batterman, age 71 passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. He was born on August 23, 1953 in Fond du Lac. Son of Dale and Carol (Rose) Batterman. On December 2004 he married Barb (Kreif) O’Brien.
He was a loyal and hard worker at Buechel Stone and Eden Stone. He loved deer hunting, trap shooting, selling his produce at Fond du Lac and Dundee farmers' market, and loved working for O’Brien Auctions.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife Barb; mother Carol, brother Gary (Jane) Batterman, sister Judy (Gene) Zwicky, daughter Amy (Rob) Burkholder, Son David, stepson John O’Brien (Tess), stepdaughter Brenda (Dan) Flynn, three grandchildren, six step grandchildren and special and longtime friend Richard (Dick) Harmer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, and father-in-law Harold and mother-in-law Rose Kreif.
A special thank you to the nurses, doctors, and staff at St. Agnes Hospital and Hospice for their love, help, and care.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
