He is survived by his children: Micheal Dawayne Strickland, Darrell Dawayne Benson Jr., Psalms Benson, Darrionna Benson, and Stephon Benson; his beloved girlfriend, Tausherriaye Farris; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Larry Benson, Delphine (Benson) Fletcher, David Lee Benson, Antoninnette (Benson) Walker, Lisa (Benson) White, and Anthony Ross Benson; as well as his sister-in-law, TyTeeonnia Farris.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Hobert and Rosie Benson; his grandparents, Hobert Benson, Sr. and Mert Benson; and siblings, Jimmy Benson, Credell Delphine (Benson) Carroll, Tommy Lee Benson, Cynthia Benson, and Marlow Lamont Benson. Darrell will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. Cremation is under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
