Darrell Glenn Blevins was 60 years old when he passed away at his mountain home in Florissant, Co surrounded by family on December 4, 2025 from cancer. He was born on December 26, 1964 in San Benito, Texas to Donald Glenn Blevins and Reba Day. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Metta Johnson Blevins, daughter Marla Posey, Nick Posey and grandson Wyatt Vernon Posey. His mother Reba Day Glaze, sister Laginna Blevins, brothers and wives Dustin and Meleaha Glaze, Scott and Amber Glaze, brother -in-law George (Pete) and Merlene Johnson, Billy and Melanie Johnson and SIL Mary Turner. He is predeceased by his father Donald Blevins, Step-father John Glaze, Grand parents Inez (Gogo) and Glenn (Dee) Blevins, Marilyn (Maybeth) and Julian Clardy, and SIL Linda Elaine Hall.

Darrell was a loving family man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his new grandson Wyatt, who he said he was glad he got to meet him. He loved working on his 67 and 68 mustangs, trucks and 81 Corvette, touring Colorado's 4 wheel drive trails in his sparkling clean white Jeep Rubicon. He loved gardening and keeping his cars, yard and house clean and neat. He always said, "I don't like to clean, I just like for everything to BE clean." He was a hard worker who worked 40 years in the US, Macedonia, Iraq and Africa for Kellogg Brown & Root, Jakobs and Zachary where he made many lifelong friends. Darrell graduated from Carlisle in Price, Texas in 1984, he attended welding classes at Kilgore College. He spent most of his life living in East Texas where he had a ranch, raising cows and horses. He was a kind and gentle man who often helped many friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for the spring in East Texas. Family request donations to Abode Hospice of Colorado Springs, 1975 Research Pkwy. Suite 300, Colorado Springs, CO 80920 per Darrell's wishes for the love and care he received.
