Funeral services for Mr. Darrell Boling, 72, of Ohatchee, will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Ricky Luallen will be officiating. Darrell will be laid to rest in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Darrell was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Boling; and his parents, Clyde Boling and Betty Jean Hiddle Cruise.
Those left to cherish the memory of Darrell include his children, Chip (Joni) Boling, Stephanie (Michael) Gilmore, and Tiffany Wilson; four grandchildren, Cole (Briana) Williams, Caleb Williams, Joshua (Morgan) Boling, and Jessica (Keith) Trantham; six great-grandchildren, Braxton, Kholton, Graeson, Dallas, Joey Jr., Bodie, with one "soon-to-be"; his siblings, Lester (Becky) Boling, Betty Ann Luallen, Barbara Lee, and Eddie (Patsy) Boling; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Darrell was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He owned and operated Boling Septic Service for close to 50 years, retiring within the last five years. Darrell had a heart of gold. He helped many people through the years, be it with his septic service or in general. Darrell dearly loved his family, and his great-grandchildren were the "apple of his eye". In his spare time, Darrell enjoyed being outdoors and sitting in his rocking chair on his front porch. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers for Darrell will be Cole Williams, Caleb Williams, Joshua Boling, Keith Trantham, Josh Matthews, and Braxton Williams.
