Darrell Buttrum

Darrell Buttrum, 56, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on March 12, 2026. He was born on December 19, 1969, in Calhoun, Georgia, to the late Danny Buttrum and Louise Mulkey Buttrum.

Darrell was a free spirit with a tender heart; one you had to earn to see. He never stayed in one place too long, but he was always respectful, always joking, and always ready to make someone smile. He was a good dad, a jokester, and a fun loving uncle who gave everyone their own nickname, from "baby girl" to "little lady" to "little B." He was one of a kind, full of quirks, and he loved keeping people guessing.

He is preceded in death by his son, Josh Buttrum, and his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Krystle Buttrum; his grandchildren, Jazzlyn Buttrum and Kailee Foster; and his brothers, Bobby and Brittany Buttrum, David Boling, and Michael Hall, his nieces, nephews, Megan Townsend, Marissa Buttrum, Colby Buttrum, Kaidence Buttrum and Braydon Buttrum. His absence will deeply felt by all those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Robert A. Cagle Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joseph Hightower officiating. Interment will take place at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery after the service.

Darrell had a way of ending every message to his daughter with the same simple words - a memory she will carry with her always. And so, in his own familiar way, we sign off for him one last time:

I love you. Always, Me.
