Darrell Eugene Collier

Darrell Eugene Collier, 71, of Martinsville passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at his home. He was born Monday, September 14, 1953, to the late Harry J. and Lafern (Walls) Collier in Martinsville, Indiana.
Darrell worked as a drywall hauler; however, a back injury caused him to become medically retired. He enjoyed his close-knit family, lifelong friends, drag racing, horseback riding, and motorcycle riding. Darrell attended Mt. Gilead Church in Mooresville.
He is survived by the love of his life, Cindy, whom he married on September 10, 1983; son, Darrick Collier and wife Ashley of Mooresville; daughter, Jennifer Schafer and husband Jeff of Giddings, Texas, daughter, Carolyn Mattocks and husband Eric of Giddings, Texas, daughter, Christina Heinz of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Dillan, Raychell, Dustin, Travis, Austin, Robert, Darrell, Logan, Matthew, Jonathan, Danielle, Donevan, Brynna, Ellie; brother, Gary F. Collier of Brazil, Indiana.
Darrell is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Lee "Danny" Collier; parents, Harry and Lafern; sisters, Verna Diane Whaley and Brenda Fay Scott.
Visitation is 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025, at Costin Funeral Chapel. Services will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Minister Fred Schmitt officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hall.
