Darrell Ray Corum, 73, of Jefferson City, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Capital Region Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 27, 1951, in Louisiana, Missouri, the son of Thomas "Buster" and Juanita (Smith) Corum.

Darrell was a 1969 graduate of Russellville High School. He also attended the Electronics Institute in Kansas City.

He began his working years alongside his father in the lumber business, later spending many years as a dedicated salesman for several local car dealerships.

He loved working on jigsaw puzzles, watching Kansas City Chiefs Football, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and MU Basketball. After high school, he enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball and had a lifelong passion for classic cars-especially corvettes-proudly owning two over the years.

Survivors include his daughter, Tiffany (Eric) Jaegers, Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Charlie and Chloe Jaegers; siblings, David (Ginger) Corum, Jefferson City, Debbie (Galen) Meller, Lohman, and Pam (Joe) Hamblin, Olathe, KS, many loving nieces and nephews, as well as several lifelong friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Thomas Corum.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City with the memorial service following at 3 p.m. with Rev. Msgr. David D. Cox, officiating.

Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice Compassus.
