Obituary published on Legacy.com by Adamson Life Celebration Home on Oct. 27, 2025.
Darrell Devere Drewer, 61

Born April 8, 1964 to Rebecca and Charlie Drewer. Passed away October 18, 2025 in his home. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen "Katie" (Slonksnes) Drewer, father Charles Drewer, mother Rebecca Drewer Koppenhafer, brother Douglas Drewer. He is survived by his brother Donald "Donnie" Drewer and his wife Sandy Ogan-Drewer of Eaton, CO. Sister-in-law and husband Joanne (Slonksnes) Tilley and Chris Tilley of Greeley, CO. Brother-in-law and wife Adam and Kim Slonksnes of Hot Springs, SD.

Darrell became part of the working family of Occidental Petroleum in 2007. He has 30+ years of working in the oil and gas industry in Weld County. Darrell started his journey as a truck driver hauling crude oil to Commerce City, CO. Along his journey he created new systems and procedures in which he received awards and acknowledgements for merit that changed the industry. Darrell also became supervisor of several teams where he was respected and loved by many people.

He loved working on his 1960 model cars at a young age, with his first car being a 1967 Pontiac GTO. His latest project was a 1969 Pontiac Fire Bird. He also loved riding his Harley Davidson with his real close friends Paul, Jimmy, and brother-in-law Adam.

Darrell loved dogs. He would take Baby Girl to Glenmere Park for walks, where Baby Girl was more interested in chasing ducks and geese.

He also loved getting away camping, taking trips to Mexico, fishing, and being with family and friends which was more important than anything to him.

Darrell and Katie were married on Dec 31, 1996 for 29 years, and lived together since 1982 for 43 years. They enjoyed camping and fishing. Katie taught Darrell who was the best fisherman, then would laugh and tease each other about it. They also rode motorcycles together, but most of all they loved Baby Girl, teasing each other, being together, and loving each other.

Life Celebration for Darrell will take place at Adamson life Celebration Home 2000 47th Avenue Greeley CO 80634 on Saturday November 1, 2025 starting at 11:00AM
