Darrell Gray Lewis, 54, passed away on March 30, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Darrell was born on February 8, 1972, in Winston-Salem, NC, to Harold and Georgia Lewis. He worked as a mechanic for 23 years and was certified by Carolina Kia.
While he loved going to the races at Bowman-Gray Stadium, he most enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially liked cooking on the grill and sitting around and talking. He also liked going to the beach.
In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his wife, Linda “Kay” Deese Lewis; sister, Patricia Humphreys; and brothers, Garry Lewis and Jerry Lewis. He is survived by his sons, Dustin Lewis (Kayla) and Casey Lewis (Carrie); grandchildren, Lucas, Dakota, Austin, Colton, Layla, Alivia, and Patricia; and his brother, Todd Lewis (Angie).
The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
