Darrell Lujan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Riverside Funeral Home - Los Lunas on Feb. 3, 2026.
Darrell Ronsay Luther Lujan aka Honey, age 40 of Isleta Pueblo, NM passed away on January 25, 2026. We are grateful for the moments he shared. We are forever grateful for these memories. We stand strong with faith that the Lord will carry us as we celebrate a new life of a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousins, and friend.Darrell was born January 15, 1986 in Albuquerque, NM to Mary Rose Lujan and Marcus Lujan. He was an incredible grill master and had a doctor green thumb who enjoyed family gatherings and festivities. He enjoyed working in the kitchen to work on his craftsmanship as a cook with incredible flavors and sauces. He knew how to live without fear, he loved music, the Commanders(Redskins), his Honda Civic Hatchback, and his fishing pole, but his smile with a dimple would brighten up someone's day and the room.He lived with a big heart on his sleeve and always meant good intentions and his selfless ways to serve others. He was encouraging and forgiving. He was great at calling people to see how they are doing? Because if you are okay then he was too.Darrell once shared this verse in Isaiah Chapter 6, the prophet Isaiah is transported to heaven, where he sees God in all majesty, the room is filled with God's glory. Around God, the prophet sees heavenly beings. This stunning vision is a reminder that God is Lord of all earth. During this heavenly vision, God asks the question, "Whom shall I send and who will go for us?" Thankfully, Isaiah answers, "Here I am, send me!" God was searching for someone to share his words of warning and hope with the world.Darrell is the person to boldly say, "Here I am, send me!" He was God's special possession that brought him out of his darkness and into God's wonderful light. God's love happens in so many ways.Darrell was our greatest blessing, though we grieve deeply, we take comfort knowing he is at peace, worry free, and pain free resting in God's open arms. His smile, love, and laughter will live in us forever and never forgotten until we meet again. We love you Darrell!!!He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Rose Lujan, Auntie Rose Mary Montoya, Uncle Albert Montoya (Hoover), Grandparents Jose Montoya and Alberta Montoya, Johnnie Lujan and Dolores Lujan, Cousins Eugene Abeita and Amanda Abeita.
