Born on July 8, 1950, Joan's life was one characterized by love, generosity, and a remarkable spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Joan spent over 40 wonderful years sharing her life with her devoted husband, John Campbell. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love, mutual respect, and shared laughter. Together, they built a family that would become the heart of Joan's world. She is survived by her daughter Heather Bergman and her spouse Andy, and her son Steve and his wife Michelle. With utmost pride, she leaves behind her granddaughter Nicci and her two children, Elizabeth and Xavier, who brought her unparalleled joy. Joan was also a grandmother to Emily and Steven James, and she had an ever-growing circle of grandchildren, including many whom she embraced with love as her own, providing warmth and kindness without reservation. Joan is preceded in death by her beloved grandson Brandon Gray, whose absence she cherished deeply. Throughout her life, Joan exhibited traits that made her an extraordinary individual-she was generous, ambitious, energetic, loyal, and considerate, qualities that endeared her to many. Her kindness was palpable, leaving indelible marks on the many lives she touched. An avid reader, Joan found immense joy in the pages of her favorite books, often losing herself in the stories woven within. She delighted in the beauty of hummingbirds, finding solace in their grace and vibrant colors. Known as everyone's favorite baker, she perfected the art of making tamales, a skill that became a favorite family tradition and a testament to her culinary passion. Joan's legacy is one of love, life, and resilience. We honor her memory and the life she lived, one filled with laughter, support, and compassion. A celebration of Joan's life will be held at her home, located at 3021 Joe Sanchez Road SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105, on March 7th at 1 PM.
