Services for Darrell Justin Moore, 45, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 16, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Pastor Weldon Coble officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Shrum, Chance Wesson, Tait Wesson, Justin Wesson, Jeremy Steadman, Stuart Smith, Chuck McElmurray, and Kenny Wicker. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Shackleford and Darin Roye. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 15th at the funeral home.
Darrell Justin Moore entered the kingdom of Heaven to be with his Lord on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in Midlothian, TX. His Dad and his brother, Big Mike, were waiting at Heaven’s Gates for him. He was born on April 30, 1979, to Bobby Darrell and Debbie Oliver Moore of Cleburne. Darrell graduated from Cleburne High School in 1997. Darrell loved cars and trucks. As a teenager, he loved hot rods. He took auto body in high school. There he built his first hot rod., the GMC Sprint. He loved to race the Sprint in Kennedale. After high school, he moved on to trucks. He really liked to go to the river. He enjoyed water skiing and knee boarding, and spending time with friends. Darrell worked for 27 years at Gerdau Steel Manufacturing. He also owned and operated Moore’s Mobile Wash. Darrell was respected and loved by many people. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Darrell Moore; his brother, Michael Wayne Moore; and his grandparents, Bob and Geneva Oliver and Fagan and Louise Keeton.
Darrell is survived by his mother, Debbie Moore of Cleburne; his love, Amber Meek of Cleburne; sister, Tammy Decker and brother-in-law, Chad Glattfelder of Avery, TX; nieces, Lindsey and Courtney Chapman of Austin, TX, Jennifer Decker, and Kelly Decker; and his nephew, Jake Decker of Avery, TX. Darrell is also survived by his two very close cousins, Travis Ashworth and Matt Shrum. Darrell had many aunts, uncles and cousins that hold memories of him close in their hearts. Darrell’s wealth lied in the many friendships he cultivated across time, from his early Kindergarten days to the end of his life.
