Darrell Neal Obituary
Darrell was born on August 21, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, to Francis Marvin and Bonnie Jean Neal. A proud graduate of Xenia High School in 1967, he honorably served in the US Navy and dedicated 30 years of his life to Tank Automotive Command as an inventory supply manager, retiring in 2005.
Beyond his professional achievements, Darrell was an avid member of the Daylily Society, finding joy in the vibrant world of flowers. His diverse interests included collecting stamps, coins, comic books, and exploring the depths of the sea through scuba diving adventures.
Darrell's legacy lives on through his surviving loved ones. He is fondly remembered by his son Brian Neal; brother, David Neal; and nieces, Maegan and Brittany.
Funeral services for Darrell will be private.

I was very sad to see this. I served in the Navy with Darrell at Corpus Christi NAS with VT29 back in the late 60s. He and I went to AT school NATC Memphis. He was a nice no nonsense straight up guy. I really liked him. I lost track of him after I left NAS CC Texas as I was assigned to sea duty aboard an aircraft carrier bound for Vietnam. I´m glad he got to retire and enjoy that part of his life. I´ll have to go back thru my old photos and see if I have any of him. If I find some I will post them here. I know I did see one of him with the line crew on the FB VT29 page. There may be more.

Darrell was my first cousin and I regret that years and miles came between us as adults. I will always remember the family reunions in Nicholasville, KY, when we were growing up. Prayers of comfort to his family.

Darrell was a long time neighbor who shared many of his day lily plantings with me. Many, many over the fence chats. He will be missed.
