Darrell Ryan Nickerson, 45, of Madison, MO passed away unexpectedly January 2, 2023, at his home. Darrell was born on December 3, 1977, in Moberly MO to Donald and Roxanna Nickerson.
Darrell was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt track racing, and playing golf as well as watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was the biggest fan of Peyton and Kensie - his children, and thoroughly enjoyed cheering them on at all their sports activities. He also enjoyed cooking and sharing his delectable creations with anyone willing to give them a try. Darrell attended Moberly Public Schools and graduated in general studies. He was employed with the Orscheln Farm & Home Distribution Center in Moberly.
His family and friends will tell you he had the biggest heart, a fun-loving spirit and enjoyed playing ornery shenanigans (little stinker!). His family and those closest to him will dearly miss his giant hugs and his contagious smile.
Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Donald Nickerson Sr.; his sister, Brenda Fletcher; brother-in-law, Don Fletcher (Fletch); and his nephew, Don Curtis Fletcher (D.C.).
Darrell is survived by his children Alexis, Peyton, and Kensie; his mother, Roxanna Nickerson; his significant other and dearest friend Teri Jo; his siblings - Lori Humphrey (Perry), Pam Renzelmann (Kevin), Rhonda Colley (Jim), Donnie Nickerson (LeaAnn), Rae Bennett (Larkin) and Bruce Hendren, and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A funeral service celebrating Darrell's life has been scheduled for Monday, January 9, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO with interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly, MO.
