Darrell Shira Obituary
Born in New Castle on February 18, 1947, Darrell was the son of the late Dr. Wylie H. Shira, Jr. and Viola Dengler Shira.
Darrell had worked for many years for General Electric Transportation in Erie until he retired.
Darrell will be remembered for the overall "good guy" that he was who made friends everywhere he went. He was loved by everyone and a friend to many.
Darrell is survived by his two sons, Paul Shira and Darren Shira, his brother, Richard Shira and his two sisters, Donna Loutzenheiser and Ruth Castelucci.
Visitation will be held on Monday 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Funeral Service will follow on Monday at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Richard Nero will officiate.
Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
