Darrow "Del" Bess, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by her family on October 30, 2025.
She was born on February 7, 1957, to the late Ernest Moore, Sr. and Catherine Moore. Del was one of eight children in a loving and close-knit family.
After graduating high school, Del pursued her passion for helping others and dedicated her career to serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and devotion to those in her care left a lasting impression on countless lives.
Del was united in marriage to the late Willie "Wil" Bess, her best friend and lifelong companion.Their bond was one of true love and devotion-together for more than 50 years before Wil preceded her in death. From this beautiful union, four children were born: Latawun Bess, LaQuaine (Irene) Bess, Justin (Kylah), and Ganerra Bess. Del also had one stepdaughter, Conception Dantzle.
She was preceded in death by five beloved siblings: Kenneth Moore, Gregory Moore, Erika Conley, Ernest Moore, Jr., and Terry Moore.
She is survived by her loving mother, Catherine Moore; two brothers, Stanley and James; sister- and brother-in-laws; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Del's life was a testament to love, service, and faith. Though she has departed this earthly life, her light will continue to shine through the many lives she touched
