Darryl Keith Hudgins, 62, of Marion, passed away Saturday morning, December 13, 2025 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.
Born in Asheville on August 4, 1963, he was the son of the late Jack Arville Hudgins and Blanche Elizabeth Roland Howard.
Darryl was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having spent the majority of his service in Germany. He later worked at Coats America. He enjoyed panning for gold, a hobby he learned from his father. Darryl’s family was most important to him, and he especially adored his grandson, Ezra. Spending time with his family always did his heart good. Darryl loved the Lord, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Aaron Kyle Hudgins, and a step-brother, Randy Howard.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Debra Kaye Hudgins; son, Brandon Keith Hudgins (Lizzie); grandson, Ezra Hudgins; special father who raised him, Billy Howard; brother, Tony Hudgins (Kim); sister, Theresa Hall (Bobby); step-brother, Chris Howard; aunt, Hazel Stine (Lloyd); and uncle, Gene Roland (Sharon).
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Parker’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, located at 608 Jacktown Road in Marion. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Victor Worley officiating.
