Oh my..... I learned of Darryl's passing while trying to find a way to contact his Aunt Carol Cunningham. I practically grew up in the Mattheiss/Dingler home and have beautiful memories of their love. I have no words for the family s loss and am saddened to know the world has lost some of its light.
Blessings to you all, Sherri Fearing and family

I met Darryl and Robin as neighbors of my then boyfriend now husband in maybe...1998. I instantly liked both of them...Darryl and Robin with Kaleb in tow moved to town and their only neighbors were two crazy Tallahassee natives still in their twenties. Robins wide eyes and Darryl's smile through the neighbors science experiments formed a friendship that lasted for decades. I overheard my youngest son having a conversation on the phone with Darryl months ago and thought, I'm so grateful that we have friends that my kids consider family. D- Rail ( my husbands nick name for Darryl) will be missed. I'm grateful to have been a witness to his incredible account of stories ( mostly correct), his smile, his generosity, and friendship.

Thoughts and prayers with you all. I spent a lot of time with Darryl learning and working on cars. I'll never forgot having a highschool party and bringing over trash bag's' full of beer cans to hide from my parents. I do believe D had a good laugh at my expense. He was a good man and will be missed greatly.

I don’t know why you had to go, but know that i will miss you so, with that happy smile and sense of fun, I can’t take it in that you are really gone, you brought joy to every life you touched, and will be missed so very much! Just know your beautiful soul lives on forever, and memories of you will always be treasured! Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near! Still loved, still missed and very dear! Rest In Peace Uncle D! I love and miss you so!
