In Loving Memory of Darryl Smith (February 20, 1961 – August 13, 2025)

Darryl Smith, age 64, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025. Born on February 20, 1961, Darryl lived a life full of laughter, connection, and compassion.

A true people person, Darryl thrived in his work with tourists, always ready with a warm smile and a quick joke. His playful spirit was especially evident in his online banter with nieces and nephews, where he delighted in giving them a hard time and keeping the family group chats lively.

Darryl deeply loved his family and friends, and his presence brought joy to every gathering. He shared a special bond with his cherished cat, Shady Girl, who was his constant companion.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Joyce Belt; sisters Anita Gray, Sandra Butler, Devona England (David), and Terri Sams (Jeff); brothers James Brumley (Andrea), Lonnie Belt, and Donnie Belt; stepdaughters Theresa Bock and Lisa Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cherished friends. Among them, his special nephew Bobby Feltner (Kyla) held a unique place in his heart.

Darryl was preceded in death by his loving partner, Barbara Belcher, and his sister, Lisa Spencer.

His legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the memories held by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
