The Entrance
Daryl Troy Curran was born on June 28, 1934, he entered the Promise Land of Milk and Honey on September 28, 2024.
He was born to Beulah and Cornelius Curran. Daryl had 3 brothers, Norman who preceded him in death, Neil his younger brother who resides in GA, and Harvey the youngest of the Curran boys who preceded him in death at an early age.
Daryl was raised in a Christian home where there were strict rules that had been broken a few times by all 4 brothers, LOL.
He was very active in sports, including participation and coaching. Daryl graduated from Raton High School in New Mexico. From there he was recruited by New Mexico State University as a football player in the tackle position.
Daryl felt the call to join the Army during the Cold War in Germany. He not only had to crawl through frozen trenches but led his team with care of each man. While on leave from the Army he was asked to coach children in football and baseball in Holland.
Daryl met a beautiful lady from Taos, N.M. named Naomi Kay Campbell. They married on Oct. 4, 1956, in Medford, OR and were married for 64 years before Kay passed into the Holy Land.
Daryl and Kay loved to travel but his best hobby was picking up his easel, paints and brushes. He was a very accomplished professional artist.
He is survived by his 3 children, Charles (Pam), Stephen (Candy) and Bonnie Curran; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Now Daryl and Kay are together in the land of milk and honey "The Promised Land"
