Daryl J. Jackson, age 64, of Dover, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2024, in his second home in Florida.
Born on November 25, 1959 in Dover, Daryl was a son of the late Gayle and Doris (Morton) Jackson.
He was a 1978 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. After graduation he began his career as a truck driver, driving for Mast Trucking. He was also an accomplished chef and loved to share pictures of his creations with family and friends.
Daryl will be deeply missed by his family including his son, Corey Saunier of Mooresville, North Carolina; brothers, Daniel (Renee) Jackson of New Philadelphia, and William (Kathy) Jackson of Altavista, Virginia; nieces and nephews, Tracey (Ken) Steinbach, Carrie Jackson, Lee Jackson, Kelsey Jackson Carter, and their families; and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gayle Jackson, and Doris Jackson; and brother, Clark Alan Jackson.
The family will greet guests on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Daryl’s life will begin at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. He will be inurned at a later date with his parents in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
