Daryl Kent was called to heaven to join his son Daryl Joseph on May 24, 2024. Daryl was born on 11/28/1957 in the Bronx, New York to the late Samuel Kent and Janet Smith, Tortola, BVI. Daryl is loving husband of Mary Stoneroad, father of Izette Marshall, Harrisburg and Isaiah Kent at home, grandfather to Derek Marshall, Lemoyne, brother of Samuel W. Kent Jr III (Lorraine) Jacksonville Florida, half-brother to Jennifer Kent-Shank (Tyrone) Enola and uncle to various niece and nephews. Loving son-in-law to Ronald and Carol Stoneroad Halifax.
Daryl graduated from Dewitt-Clinton high school in Bronx, New York. He attended Garden City Community College in Garden City Kansas where he was a member of the football team. He also attended and played football at the University of Arizona.
Daryl spent his working career helping others. He worked with people with intellectual disabilities for 19 years. Then he became a CNA and worked in people’s homes and in various nursing homes for 20 years.
Daryl was a fun-loving guy who loved sports including basketball and football. He loved watching Isaiah play baseball and other sports. He was part of the Camp Hill Challenger Baseball for many years and was honored to be one of the coaches at the Little League World Series in 2016.
