It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daryll Neal, a true original, who left us just shy of his 70th birthday on August 27, 2025. Born on August 29, 1955, in New York City, Daryll brought a vibrant spirit to every room he entered, most recently calling Middletown, RI his home.
Daryll was known for his laid-back demeanor and his infectious sense of humor. Always dressed to impress, he had a way of making the simple act of stepping out feel like a grand occasion. He could often be found cheering for his favorite teams or catching a game at Yankee Stadium, reveling in the energy of the crowds.
In addition to being an avid sports fan, Daryll was a talented musician who shared his passion for singing with a local band. Road trips were one of his favorite pastimes, and you could count on him to make his car dance with upbeat tunes. He also worked at T.J. Brown landscaping for over 20 years. His delightful routines were sometimes complemented by his famously picky palate-after all, nothing quite satisfied him like a plain cheeseburger!
Daryll's greatest joy came from the love he gave to his family. He was a devoted husband to Gertrude Peno; a proud father to Gina Brown, Daryll Foster, and Janel Foster; and a beloved brother to Edward Edgiton, Donald Neal, Linda Grier, Gail Neal. He survived by 14 Grandkids, 3 Great-grandkids and an abundance of niece and nephews. He treated his nieces and nephews with such love and care that they often felt like his own children.
To celebrate Daryll's remarkable life, a public visitation will be held on September 6, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 PM, followed by Re-pass at the VFW, 52 Underwood lane Middletown, RI at 6pm.
In life, Daryll taught us all to live with enthusiasm, to laugh often, and to cherish our loved ones. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, as we share stories and laughter in his honor.
Daryll was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Raymond Neal; and his sister, Pamela Neal, Kathy Neal, Sharie Neal, Angela Neal.
