Dave Crawford, 85, of Dupo Illinois, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 19, 2025. He was a loving and supportive father, partner, PawPaw, Pop, and friend to so many that were blessed to be a part of his life.
Dave was born to the late Edwin and Louise Crawford in Carthage, Missouri on May 19, 1940. He received a BS in Accounting from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri.
He served our country in the US Air Force earning an honorable discharge. He then worked as a Supervisory Accountant for the IRS and USDA when he retired at the age of 55.
Dave lived a full life and was very active even at the age of 85. He enjoyed spending time with family, bicycling, volunteering, and playing (and often winning) the Missouri lotto scratch offs.
He was active in Epsilon Sigma Alpha for 16 years and enjoyed volunteering countless hours to raise funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Dave is survived by his loving partner Sandy Hosack, daughters Cynthia (Eric) Judd, Gina (Robbie) Houston, grandchildren Macy and Cayden Judd, Gideon, Coen, Solomon, and Zion Houston. He was also loved deeply by Sandy’s family including sons Davy (Becky) Hosack, Steve (Sophia) Hosack, and Tim (Jennifer) Hosack, grandchildren Brittany (Chris) Covey, Dave III (Abby) Hosack, Chase (Lexi) Hosack, Krysta (Hannah) Hosack, Cristian, Ethan, Heather, Dalton, Austin and Alyssa Hosack and great grandchildren Lincoln, Kennedy, McKinley and Tatum Hosack, Cora and Clara Covey. Preceded in death by his sister Louise Crawford and brother Ed Crawford.
Dave’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life, and he enjoyed attending all of their various events to support them and show his love.
The service to celebrate Dave’s life will be on Tuesday, July 1 at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, MO with visitation at 9:30 am and service at 11:30 am. Following service will be the burial at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery at 1:30 pm. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held immediately after the Jefferson Barracks service at Royale Orleans located at 2801 Telegraph Road, St. Louis, MO.
